Každý rok slavíme 2. února Mezinárodní den mokřadů. Nazývá se také Světový den mokřadů a slaví se od roku 1997. Datum připomíná podpis Ramsarské úmluvy z 2. února 1971.
Při této příležitosti představujeme jeden z nejkrásnějších a největších národních parků, který je vodní a bahenní oblastí mezinárodního významu.
Národní mokřadní park Si-si (Xixi) byl otevřen v roce 2005. Nachází se na severozápadním předměstí Chang-čou (Hangzhou) a pokrývá asi 10 kilometrů čtverečních. Jeho obyvateli jsou ohrožení živočichové a vodní rostliny. V roce 2009 byl národní mokřadní park Si-si zařazen mezi mokřady mezinárodního významu podle Ramsarské úmluvy o mokřadech.
Mokřad Si-si je považován za „Zelené plíce země“. Kromě 221 rostlinných druhů zde sídlí 89 druhů ptáků, z nichž nejoblíbenější jsou volavky velké, divoké husy, ledňáčci, kachny divoké a bažanti stříbrní. Nejčastějšími vodními živočichy jsou zde kapři, jelci, krevety, úhoři a krabi.
