Letecká společnost Qatar Airways oslavila 5. výročí svého působení na Letišti Praha. Oceňovaný letecký dopravce spojuje Prahu s destinacemi po celém světě ze své základny v Dauhá na mezinárodním letišti Hamad již od roku 2017. Oslavy významného dne proběhly na letišti prostřednictvím akce k výročnímu letu QR292. Těsně před pětiletým výročím zahájení provozu do České republiky dopravce oznámil překonání hranice 500 000 odbavených cestujících na linkách z Prahy. Qatar Airways aktuálně nabízí denně jeden zpáteční let mezi Prahou a Dauhá, operovaný letadlem Airbus A320.
„V druhé polovině srpna 2017 přistál na dráze Letiště Praha Airbus A320 Qatar Airways. Bylo to poprvé, kdy dopravce spojil Prahu s hlavním městem Kataru Dauhá pravidelnou linkou. Přímé lety od té doby nabízejí cestujícím výrazně větší možnosti přestupů na linky do zbytku světa, což usnadňuje cesty na Dálný východ, do jižní Asie a Austrálie. Potenciál linky zůstává i nadále vysoký. Díky ní může Praha nabídnout spojení do dalších 100 destinací pouze s jedním přestupem. Jsme moc rádi, že můžeme společně oslavit pětileté výročí této krásné spolupráce. Věříme, že se v dohledné době bude dále úspěšně rozvíjet jak v segmentu osobní, tak nákladní dopravy,“ řekl Jiří Pos, předseda představenstva Letiště Praha.
