Jamajka zaznamenala výrazný úspěch na slavnostním předávání cen World Travel Awards (WTA), které se konalo na ostrově Svatá Lucie. Tato destinace a její partneři v odvětví cestovního ruch získaly přibližně třicet tři cen. Mezi oceněními zvláště vyniká titul Přední karibská destinace.

recognised as the Caribbean’s Leading Destination.

saluted. Through the hard work of our workers and tourism partners we
have been able to keep Jamaica top of mind and attractive for visitors
across the globe,“ said Director of Tourism Donovan White.
Jamaica was also voted the Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Destination,
Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Port, and was also awarded for possessing the
Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board, and the Caribbean’s Leading Airport.
The finest travel brands from across the Caribbean and the Americas
participated in a glittering gala ceremony in Saint Lucia. The event was
hosted at Sandals Grande St Lucian and marked the opening leg of the
WTA’s landmark 30th anniversary grand tour 2023 — a global search for
the finest travel and tourism organisations.
„Jamaica’s brand remains incredibly strong, and we have all the right
ingredients to do even better as a destination. With the right investment
and build-out of the necessary infrastructure we will be able to meet the
demand of this growing and very important industry,“ added White.
Some of Jamaica’s other awards include Caribbean’s Leading Adventure
Tourist Attraction: Dunn’s River Falls and Parks; Caribbean’s Leading
Airport Lounge: Club Mobay at Sangster Airport; and Caribbean’s Leading
Boutique Resort: Golden Eye, among many others.
The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge,
reward, and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel,
tourism, and hospitality industries. Today the World Travel Awards brand
