The Alpine resorts of the Vaud Alps are 120 km or a 2-hour train ride from Geneva International Airport. Snow fans will love up to 420 km available for skiing as well as skijoring, sled descents, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and the many sports facilities. In 42 hotels of the Alpine resorts of the Vaud Alps skiing and accommodation in the parents’ room are free for kids up to 9 years. The “GoKids Family Club” offers 34 exclusive advantages to families upon a free membership:

The package “SuperPass” gives you access to 420 km of skiing and snowboarding overlooking the authentic villages of Leysin, Les Mosses, Château-d’Oex, Rougemont, Villars, Gryon and Les Diablerets, not to mention Glacier 3000. The package is available from four consecutive days. It covers the ski areas of 17 resorts of Gstaad Mountain Rides and the Vaud Alps. Plus it is free for kids up to 9 years (born 2005 and younger)! The winter season will start on 26 October and end on 4 May on Glacier 3000. Access to the entire ski area is possible from 21 December, with a possible early opening on 14 December, subject to snow conditions. The ski area remains open until 21 April 2014. Everybody hop on a train heading for the slopes of the Vaud Alps! For journeys from Geneva International Airport or a border station, the “Swiss Transfer Ticket” offer is the best solution for stays in one single location. The “Swiss Family Card” offers free travel to children below 16, who are accompanied by at least one adult:

Thanks to the partnership between TGV Lyria and Eurostar, there is a guaranteed connection between London St-Pancreas and Lille to Aigle in 8 hours. Villars – Gryon: Families welcome

The resort labelled “families welcome” is located on a natural terrace at an altitude of 1,300 m. Its unique panorama features the Alps, the Rhone valley and majestic Mont-Blanc.

Its 125 km of downhill ski slopes link three ski areas to one glacier located at an altitude of 3,000 m. Various infrastructure has been available to visitors for over a century: many typical restaurants, a wide range of hotels, from B&Bs to luxury hotels with spa, as well as more than 10,000 beds in chalets and apartments. There is also a large choice of discoveries on offer for non-skiers, ranging from snowshoeing to winter hikes on compacted snow.

Les Diablerets: 1200 m to 3000 m

Set in the heart of the Vaud Alps at the foot of an imposing mountain massif, the resort of Les Diablerets is an authentic mountain village. Its panorama is graced with a majestic glacier called Glacier 3000! Situated at the far end of Lake Geneva at an altitude of 1,200 m, set in unspoilt nature and far away from the urban frenzy, Les Diablerets is a Swiss mountain resort which is very close to Geneva International Airport. Leysin – Les Mosses: Don’t look any further!

The Leysin-Les Mosses resort is ideal for all snow fans. Located at an altitude of 1,200 m, the area offers countless sports opportunities, including a Tobogganing Park, with a 360° bend and its big jump in the “big air bag”, not to mention the “Kuklos” revolving restaurant at an altitude of 2,048 m.

Thanks to artificial snow supplements, skiing is guaranteed until the end of the season on slopes to be discovered. The resort of Leysin is very active in the world of freestyle and recognised for its snowpark offering countless modules, as well as a super-pipe of a height of 5 metres! On the occasion of the Swiss cross-country ski championships, two competitions will be held, one in January and one in March, on an entirely new track. This demanding technical track will be open to the public before and after the competitions. A great opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of the best sportspeople and to use their tracks!

Well known for its reputation as a family ski resort, the ski pistes of Les Mosses – La Lécherette provide the complete package with its snow garden „Les Mosses Park“. Children under 9 years of age get free entry into Les Mosses Park. Located at an altitude of 1,870 m in the Les Mosses region, the new yurt “Ecuela Café” boasts an exceptional view of the surrounding peaks and of Mont-Blanc. It is the ideal location for fondue evenings and torch-lit descents. A new snowshoeing trail has been especially created, leading from the resort of Les Mosses to the yurt.

Château-d’Oex: On the GoldenPass Panorama or Classic railway line

Located at an altitude of about 1,000 m, the Pays-d’Enhaut comprises the villages of Château-d’Oex, Rougemont, Rossinière and L’Etivaz. The region is connected to Lake Geneva via the road over Col des Mosses or via the famous MOB railway line between Montreux and Gstaad/Zweisimmen.

Château-d’Oex is also the international capital of hot-air ballooning, especially during the International Hot-Air Balloon Festival held at the end of January. L’Etivaz, another jewel of Pays-d’Enhaut, is well-known and appreciated for its delicious cheese, L’Etivaz AOP.

Learning to ski safely is child’s play at the ski school. The „Videmanette“ ski slope in Rougemont, which is connected with the ski area of Gstaad Mountain Rides, is a delight for experienced skiers.

The package “Family +” for a family of two adults and two children up to 9 years, includes accommodation, 3 half-days of group lessons for the two children, 4 ski passes (5 days) and the activity “unlimited sledding”.
